Table and Vineyard
Whoever welcomes you grew up among those vines, the same family land for generations. They'll tell you about the wall rebuilt last year, a 2019 vintage that didn't quite work out, a dog named after a grandfather. No printed menu. You'll eat among the barrels, or under a pergola, or in a room that used to be a stable. There's what was picked this week, and what's been fermenting for six months in the room next door.
Villages & Slow Walks
You'll be welcomed by someone who grew up in that alley, and before him his father did, and before that his grandfather. There won't be talk of monuments. There will be talk of the church door repainted last spring, of a piazza rebuilt twice because no one liked the first version, of a cat named after the old mayor. The village comes later, if you ask. You'll walk through alleys that aren't on any map, under a balcony where laundry still hangs, up stone steps worn smooth by those who've always walked them. There's no marked route. There's the village that wakes up every morning: shutters opening one by one, bread arriving at seven. And there's the village that has stood still for centuries: the bell tower, the fountain, the same bend in the road.

Whoever works in an atelier learns to move without thinking: every gesture comes from years of daily practice. Together you'll build something that didn't exist before, something that will carry a part of you inside it. Your hands will get stained, you'll get dirty, but for a moment nothing else will matter.
Relax & Wellness
There's no one waiting for you with a schedule to follow. There's a pool where you can stop without hurry, and a treatment designed to truly complement your moment of relaxation. A poolside aperitivo isn't a scheduled stop, it's simply part of the flow. The sense of wellbeing sets in right away. You can stay perfectly still for a whole hour without feeling out of place. You can practice yoga at dawn, letting that moment of peace lead the way. On every other day of the year, time is always full of commitments. This moment, instead, is whatever you want it to be.
History & Memory
You'll hear the war told at the table, not from books. One name among thousands, carved into a white cross. A letter never sent. A shepherd who, for an entire winter, hid someone and told no one. You'll walk through the silence of an abbey rebuilt stone by stone. Through rows of white crosses, stretching as far as the eye can see. In a castle where they once filmed a movie you watched as a child. There's no single version of events. There's the abbey's stone, praying for a thousand years. There's the forest, hiding brigands for generations. It's the same hill. The same sunlit Sunday. Further south, the same sunny Sunday warms the tiers of a Greek theater. Carved into the rock two thousand years ago. A whisper from the stage was enough to reach the very last row. There too, before you, someone once sat and listened.

Frequently asked questions
Never more than eight travellers, often fewer. A group departure runs with a minimum of four; below that we offer you another date or a full refund.
It's a slow pace, not a hike, but you'll be on your feet two to four hours a day, on cobbles, farm tracks and hill lanes. Good general health is what it takes; talk to us first if you have mobility concerns.
A private room throughout, daily breakfast and every meal on the itinerary, all the activities and transfers in the plan, your guides and a welcome gift. Flights, insurance and anything you choose for yourself are not.
A deposit holds your place. What's left is invoiced in two instalments before you travel, three months before departure and then forty-five days before, and each invoice arrives by email with a link to pay online. Book within 45 days of departure and the trip is paid in full at checkout. The full terms (payments, dates, cancellations) are in our Terms & Conditions.
Italian or English, whichever you prefer.
Vegetarian, pescetarian and most intolerances are fine with a little notice. Strict vegan and coeliac diets are hard to guarantee. Our tables are family kitchens and small producers, where cheese, cured meats and flour are the heart of it, so talk to us before you book.
A passport valid for at least six months. From 2025, non-EU travellers (US, UK, Australia, Canada and others) also need an ETIAS authorisation before entering Italy. It is quick to arrange online, well before you leave.
It isn't required, but we strongly recommend it, ideally with 'cancel for any reason' cover, taken out within a couple of weeks of your deposit. It's your safety net for flights, health and the unexpected.
